One buys new SGI Tezro workstation

Postproduction facility One has announced the acquisition of a new Flame system based on SGI’s next generation Tezro workstation.
The purchase supports One’s commitment to expanding HD and 2K services at the facility in response to client demand.

The multi resolution ability of Flame version 8 coupled with the power of the Tezro offers our clients the most advanced visual effects platform currently available. The workstation will not only give us the capacity to work at higher resolutions, but clients will also receive SD benefits from the kit, including hugely improved rendering speeds.”
The SGI Tezro workstation is designed to eliminate many of the bottlenecks inherent to typical digital video systems by allowing data to be transferred between the carious components at much high rates. It incorporates the bandwidth and capabilities for real-time data transfers of greater than 2K resolution as well as the integrated ability to handle high quality video I/O and graphics.
