Tom Heap To Host The Daily Climate Show On Sky News

From Saturday 2July, Tom Heap will host new weekend editions of The Daily Climate Show on Sky News.

The 30 minute programmes will be broadcast on TV and across Sky News' digital and social platforms on Saturdays and Sundays and will cover the big global issues as well as those closer to home, providing audiences with insight and in-depth analysis as well as solutions to this urgent crisis.

A correspondent for BBC's Countryfile and host of the podcast '39 Ways to Save the Planet', Heap will put people at the heart of the journalism, hearing from individuals and communities and telling the stories of those impacted and adapting to the climate crisis.

The show will also hear from scientists and policymakers, explore the positive solutions that can help slow its effects and, backed-up by Sky News’ live data dashboard, investigate how the climate crisis is changing our landscape and how we live our lives.

Launched in 2021 to give audiences more information on climate ahead of the UK hosting the COP26 Conference in Glasgow, The Daily Climate Show was the first dedicated daily show on the climate crisis. It has since been nominated and won industry awards, partnered with TikTok and Snapchat, and been praised by Al Gore, John Kerry and environmental activist Erin Brockovich.

A weekly digital edition of The Daily Climate Show is published across all Sky News social platforms, including Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram. The ClimateCast Podcast is available weekly* on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and on the Sky News App and website.

Sky News has a long-standing commitment to environmental issues with campaigns to protect the rainforest and to remove single use plastics. It has a dedicated climate editorial team and Alex Crawford’s compelling documentary 'The Plastic Nile' was awarded the Environment Story of the Year at the Foreign Press Association media awards.
