Thomson appoints Mitcorp to support expansion

Thomson has appointed Mitcorp as an official UK distributor for its Grass Valley brand broadcast and professional audio video products.
Mitcorp will incorporate Grass Valley products into its systems sales to broadcast and professional audio video (PAV) clients.
At the heart of the distribution agreement between Thomson and Mitcorp is the revolutionary Grass Valley M-Series iVDR intelligent video digital recorder. The multi-channel production hub and VTR replacement device, was launched less than a year ago, has already won multiple industry awards and significant sales. In addition to supporting traditional VTR functions such as record, playout, removable media, and camera ingest – and robust video storage, networking protocol, and media-exchange format support – the iVDR’s price makes it attractive to new markets for digital video technologies.
