MACHINE SHOP SFX WIN COMMERCIALS AWARD
AT the British Television Advertising Craft Awards, Machine Shop Special Effects from London managed to beat themselves for the winner's laurel.
They had entered two adverts showing their skills for this year's Best Model-makers award. Both entries won their way into the final short list of three.
Machine Shop's work for a current campaign depicting Thunderbird characters Lady Penelope and Parker having a run in with the wheel clampers won the top prize. Their other entry for Ford in Germany 'Bluie Light', showing a journey through a traffic light was pipped for first slot as was Spontex 'Diabollik'.
A very happy crew from Machine Shop was at the ceremony with Paul Mann, the company founder, and were seen to be enjoying the event well into the night.
