Lighthouse Provides Win-Win Solution For Commercial Bank Of Qatar

When the Commercial Bank of Qatar recently completed the construction of its brand new state-of-the-art headquarters, it wanted to give visitors a memorable and eye-catching welcome to the new facility and Lighthouse Technologies' LED screens provided the answer.
Installed by well-established audio-visual integrator Technomight, based in Dubai and Doha, UAE, the installation of an 8 x 6 panel (5.12m(w) x 2.88m (h)) Lighthouse P6-FA screen in the building's lobby, provides an instant impression of the bank's high quality standards.
Technomight's Yogesh S. Wadke said: "We first met Lighthouse in 2007 to discuss some potential projects at the Dubai Palme exhibition and have maintained regular contact ever since.
"This is the first time we have installed Lighthouse LED panels. We chose the P6-FA front access panels because the bank needs excellent picture quality with a short viewing distance. Also, front access for maintenance was an important requirement."
The P6 panels provide an optimum resolution for the viewing distance in the building's lobby. Content includes a wide range of bank-related activities, including promotional material, information on the Qatar economy and footage of programmes and events sponsored by the bank. The screen showcases achievements and contributions from the Bank to Qatar's dynamic and growing economy.
While the bank manages the content in-house, Lighthouse and Technomight worked closely together to provide a complete solution, including screen controls, which includes connectivity of various types of visual inputs to the LED display such as Digital Signage Server, DVD, Streaming Computer Images or Satellite Television feed.
Lighthouse's Sales Manager Andrea Greguoldo supported Technomight throughout the process, helping them to select the most appropriate product, assisting with tender management, as well as being on hand throughout the installation, as was Lighthouse's technical manager, Olaf Mineo.
Mr Wadke said: "The biggest challenge for us was that the decision to install the screen was made after renovation of the lobby was complete, which necessitated the removal of the wall cladding to accommodate the screen. The surface beneath was uneven, making it difficult to align the screen panels seamlessly.
"Lighthouse gave us a great deal of help in solving the alignment issue and, once the screen had been finally fitted, the result was flawless."
As its first Lighthouse installation in Qatar, Technomight has been impressed with the quality of the finished product and the company is looking forward to further projects using Lighthouse LED equipment.
Mr Wadke said: "We are very happy with it and, most importantly, the client is also very pleased with it."
Technomight is now bidding on several other projects using Lighthouse screens. It feels its relationship with Lighthouse is excellent and is proving a win-win situation for all concerned.
