G-MAC TO COMMISSION A RAFT OF DIGITAL SHORTS
OVER the next year, Glasgow Media Access Centre (G-MAC), in association with the Film Council's New Cinema Fund, will commission a raft of digital shorts developed by 20 emerging and established Scottish filmmakers working under the creative umbrella DIGI.CULT.
The scheme has been designed to offer an alternative to the current approach towards short film development.
DIGI.CULT vows to push Scottish film further using digital technology. With six months of brainstorming, practical craft workshops, a 20-strong talent pool combined with masterclasses and mentoring, DIGI.CULT aims to extract the maximum creative return from the chosen low budget domain.
Applications are sought from creative people working in film and related areas. A passion for cinema and a desire to explore narrative filmmaking using digital technology is crucial. (CD)
