DISCREET APPOINT PLANET PC AS NEW SOLUTION CENTRE

DISCREET have appointed innovative video solutions provider Planet PC as a new solutions centre.
Since their appointment, Planet PC have already sold an integrated solution to BBC Scotland, which features Discreet’s edit 6 system linked to ‘combustion’.
The BBC have provided this system to Alan Smart at the Scottish Parliament, who is using it to create short in-house public relations films including subtitled, foreign-language information productions.
Smart said: “I have been using Discreet’s edit 6 solution for a couple of months now and have found it to be very versatile and efficient. I have benefited in particular from the wealth of new features offered by this latest version of the product.”
In the role of solution centre, Planet PC will be responsible for reselling Discreet's2D/3D paint and compositing solution, combustion and their creative editorial and publishing system ‘edit’.
Wendy Robinson, Planet PC, said: “Becoming a Discreet solution centre is an important move for Planet PC as it complements our existing range of video hardware and provides us with the opportunity of offering our customers tightly integrated high-end editing and compositing video tools from a manufacturer with an excellent pedigree in the industry.”
