Tandberg Television and ScheduALL integrate management systems

Tandberg Television, a leading supplier of open solutions for digital broadcasting and broadband, is enhancing its advanced Telco system management solution, Cortex, with ScheduALL - the widely used production and operations management software.
The result brings a new level of management; scheduling and bandwidth control of telecoms networks and will be particularly useful in production environments for news, sports and live event transmission.
ScheduALL brings strong ‘back-office capabilities’ to Tandberg Television’ s management system. It offers both graphical control of transmission path scheduling and dynamic business management tools. Its ‘Bandwidth Configuration Management’ tools deliver the capability to schedule complex inventories, with automatic rate cards and cost tracking, resulting in improved bandwidth utilization.
‘Multi-Parameter Conflict Checking’ enables organizations to avoid double bookings and technical mismatches. ‘Advanced Logic Checks’ for a variety of potential problems including existing bookings, availability restrictions, equipment requirements, single and dual-path polarity conflicts, digital or analogue requirements, required bandwidth capacity and in progress/proximity to start status.
‘Financial Management Applications’ provide comprehensive cost allocation, invoicing, and detailed business analysis and reporting capabilities.
Tandberg Television’s Cortex is an advanced system management solution that enables operators to schedule events over contribution/distribution video networks. It is designed for use over ATM telecom networks that support Permanent Virtual Circuits (PVC), Switched Virtual Circuits (SVC) or over IP based telecom networks.
