Neptuny Makes Shortlist At IPTV World Series Awards

Neptuny, a technology leader in providing IT data correlation solutions to large-scale data centre operators and IPTV service providers, has announced that it is a finalist in the Best Interactive TV/advanced Advertising category at The IPTV World Series Awards 2008 for its recommendation system, ContentWise.
Fabio Violante, Neptuny’s Chief Executive Officer commented: “We are very honoured to be short listed for the IPTV World Series Awards. Our product, ContentWise is the first ever recommendation system for IPTV operators and is being piloted by FastWeb, Italy’s second largest telecommunications provider.
"ContentWise generates recommendations for media content tailored to individuals’ preferences based on user ratings and content metadata enabling viewers to quickly find suitable content and hence increase customer satisfaction.”
The awards, which are held alongside the IPTV World Forum (www.iptv-forum.com) in March, provide a showcase for the most important technologies and the finest talent in today’s IPTV industry. They will be judged by a panel of independent experts taken from the IPTV sector.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony held on 12 March at the IPTV World Forum conference and exhibition www.iptv-forum.com held in London at Olympia.
