NAB 2004 attendees to choose most outstanding products

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) are to host their second annual NAB Award for Innovation in Media (AIM) program during NAB 2004.
The AIMs reflect NAB attendees' choices for groundbreaking products that display significant advancement through boosting efficiency, increasing user flexibility and creativity, and/or lowering operating costs. Product categories this year will again recognise innovations in content creation, content management, and content delivery.
"NAB is the platform for launching and showcasing the world's most advanced content creation, management, and delivery innovations," said NAB President and CEO Edward O. Fritts. "Last year's launch of the awards was a great success and in keeping with our show theme this year, the AIMs allow attendees to choose those products that 'go beyond' and exceed expectations."
Based on votes from attendees at NAB 2004, the awards will recognise top technological innovations in electronic media industries, including television, radio, film, audio, video, streaming media, satellite, and telecommunications. Attendees will be given the opportunity to vote for new products by casting their ballots onsite at the show. Each attendee who submits a ballot will be eligible to win a randomly awarded prize, which will be presented along with the AIMs on the final day of NAB2004. Five winners from each category will be selected. In addition, an AIM panel of editors from top industry publications also will select a winner from each of the award categories.
NAB 2004 takes place April 17-22, 2004 in Las Vegas.
