FT2 announce new patrons

FT2 (Film and Television Freelance Training) have announced the appointment of three patrons, Tim Bevan, Mike Leigh and Roy Lockett, to support and guide their apprenticeship-style training for young people starting freelance careers in the junior technical, craft and production grades of film and television.
"FT2 has always had strong links with industry practitioners - who assist us with recruitment, provide placements for our trainees and are trainers on the short courses provided to our trainees," said Sharon Goode, Director of FT2.
"The appointment of patrons formalises that process and will help us ensure our training continues to reflect industry practise and to meet industry needs."
Mike Leigh added: "It has been my pleasure and privilege over the last 16 years to have worked with a wide range of talented and committed young film technicians, all of whom have contributed to my films with great spirit and gusto, and many of whom have gone on to successful careers in their various departments."
