Screen Scene Receives Five IFTA Nominations
Irish post-production company Screen Scene, part of the NEP Worldwide Network, has received five nominations at this year's Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA).
Screen Scene Visual Effects Supervisors Ed Bruce and Nicholas Murphy are nominated in three out of the four shortlisted in the VFX category for their work on STARZ's Black Sails, HBO's Game of Thrones and the BBC's Ripper Street.
In the sound category, re-recording mixer Garret Farrell has been nominated for his work on Netflix's The Siege of Jadotville. The second nomination in the sound category is for Tomato Red, recognising sound editor Niall Brady, re-recording mixer Ken Galvin, and supervising sound editor Steve Fanagan's work on the film adaption.
Ed Bruce, VFX Supervisor at Screen Scene, said: "Being nominated for three IFTA VFX awards is a great testament to the craft, diligence and hard work of our amazing team of talented artists and crew within Screen Scene's VFX team. Nicolas and I have really enjoyed working on such prestigious shows as Black Sails, Game of Thrones, and Ripper Street. The whole Screen Scene VFX team prides itself on leading the way within the Irish Visual Effects Community, and these nominations are a reflection on that work."
The IFTA Film & Drama Awards will take place at the Round Room of the Mansion House on Saturday, 8 April.
