£2 million Lip Sync investment supported by Fineline

Fineline Media Finance have provided £800,00 to enable Lip Sync, the comprehensive media service provider, to invest in the latest scanning, grading and editing equipment, including the new post production solution from Quantel; the iQ.
The scanning, grading and editing equipment will be used to furnish a £2 million digital lab.
Lip Sync have bought two Northlight film scanning systems by FilmLight, five Sony A500P industry standard VTR’s, two Arri Laser Film Recorders and a Quantel iQ Digital Grading Suite.
Peter Hampden, Lip Sync Founder and Director, said: “Over the past six months, we have made a huge investment of two million pounds in 'The Digital Lab'. It is an exciting and ground breaking project for us and is the way forward for our future.
“Now that we have the Quantel iQ to complete the Digital Lab range of equipment, we are able to provide the full solution, or complete individual sections of the digital intermediate process, as required. We provide a comprehensive service to our customers, controlled throughout by our own people, which starts at the storyboard, goes through the Digital Intermediate stage, and right through to the distribution and presentation of the finished image.”
The new equipment will fully complete and furnish the Lip Sync Digital Lab, which is housed in a two and a half thousand square foot area, in a totally refurbished and restyled part of the existing Lip Sync premises in Soho. Six rooms have been created, housing the equipment grouped as necessary and including a De-spot room, where film is digitally cleaned. The lab is already up and running, with several projects in the pipeline and due for the official opening early in 2004.
