BALBOX adjustable audio delay upgrade fixes lip-sync problems

BAL Broadcast has added user adjustable audio delay to its AES/EBU digital audio Distribution Amplifier in the BALBOX format.
BAL now offers a version of its digital audio distribution amplifier with user adjustable audio delay to solve lip-sync problems which occur with the use of large display panels, encoders and synchronizers. The SADA020 provides eight delayed AES/EBU digital audio outputs. The audio delay can be adjusted manually, or remotely with GPI up/down control signals. The audio delay is adjustable from zero to over 500ms with a 20ms step size. The user may select a more restricted range with finer step size.
Audio connections are through a 50-way D type connector, and a breakout cable to XLR connectors is available. GPI control is through a 9-way D type. The unit is housed in the BALBOX format and is ideal for applications where space is at a premium and flexibility of installation is required.
The compact unit includes its self-contained mains power supply. The rugged metal case may be used free-standing, attached with screws or “hook and eye tape” or mounted in a 19” 1U tray which accepts four BALBOXES.
