Paul Wilcock joins Corinthian Television as CTO
Paul Wilcock has joined Corinthian Television as Chief Technology Officer of their Chiswick operation.
Joining from the BBC, Wilcock said: "I am looking forward to the challenges ahead of me at Corinthian Television. It is a state of the art facility and is at the leading edge of technology. I believe with my experience I will be able to contribute significantly to the company's technology and service vision."
Corinthian was awarded the contract to build and operate the Chiswick Park television facilities centre for a major international entertainment company in March 2002. It is now one of the leading UK providers of television, studio and transmission facilities.
Wilcock will be responsible for the overall management of technology, engineering and IT functions at Chiswick Park and for the future technology development of the company.
Wilcock began his career in broadcast at Granada in the eighties. Highlights include his role as head of operations and engineering at LNN, where he was hired to build the LNN joint transmission and new venture during the 1982 franchise change. From there he joined the BBC as head of technology programmes, where he worked with the senior directors of the Factual and Learning Programme Divisions and helped complete three key projects including Project Mercury, a successful tapeless proof of concept that proved revised workflow can save money.
