CBC/Radio-Canada Adopts Ross technology At Regional Television Facilities

Ross Video has announced that its OverDrive Automated Production Control System and Vision Video Production Switcher will be installed in two newly constructed regional television facilities operated by CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada's national public broadcaster.
OverDrive and Vision will be installed in studios in Sherbrooke and Trois Rivéres, Quebec, along with an option for installation in a third regional facility in 2009. On-air dates are scheduled for late 2009 and early 2010 respectively.
Daniel Guévin, CBC/Radio-Canada's Manager of Broadcast Engineering, said: "Top-notch service in the regions is a priority for CBC/Radio-Canada. That can't happen without quality technology in place. Our new studios were designed with the goal of improving production workflow. the technologies we have selected will make us more efficient and enhance our on-air productions."
