Channel 4 Commissions The Trials Of Troy
Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off special, The Trials Of Troy.
The show will see the magician set a seemingly impossible challenge – creating a jaw-dropping illusion combining magic and a death-defying stunt. However, Troy will not know what the challenge is until the clock starts ticking.
He will have just two months to prepare for the illusion. He will also have to learn new skills, pushing him to unfamiliar territory. To help him achieve his goal, the 27-year-old from London will recruit a team of magician friends to perfect the challenge, shining a light on the process of magic and the lengths that performers will go to in order create a 'moment of wonder'.
Troy is best known for his two series of street magic for E4.
The Trials of Troy has been commissioned by Liam Humphreys, Head of Entertainment at Channel 4 and Sarah Lazenby, Commissioning Editor, Entertainment at Channel 4. It is being produced by Derren Brown's Vaudeville Productions. It will be Executive Produced by Derren Brown, Andrew O'Connor and Martin Turner.
