NMR announced as leading CinéWave reseller in Europe

Pinnacle Systems have announced that New Media Research (NMR), the London based digital media solution provider, have been leading the drive to professional quality Mac based editing through record breaking deployment of Pinnacle Systems' CinéWave.
The increasingly comprehensive nature of the Final Cut Pro solution now allows it to compete more fiercely with products at the top end of the non-linear editing market. This has led to Final Cut Pro with a CinéWave plug-in being used increasingly within a wider range of offline and online editing scenarios. The uncompressed workflow and the top-level colour correction functionality which CinéWave adds guarantees broadcast quality output that meets the highest broadcast standards.
Since April 2003, NMR have overseen the implementation of 24 Apple Final Cut Pro, CinéWave enabled suites across the UK and over 40 during the past eighteen months. Jason Thompson, Director, NMR, said: "Increasingly, CinéWave solutions have become a more viable option for users looking to replace proprietary systems. There are a number of reasons for this, including the fact that people in the industry are already very comfortable working with Macs. When coupled with a price which is roughly half of the price of more established high end non linear editing systems and the high quality output the CinéWave card delivers, the overall package is very compelling."
