Royal Television Society Announces New Appointments
The Royal Television Society (RTS), Britain's leading forum for television and related media, has appointed Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media and Rob Woodward, CEO of STV Group plc, to its Board of Trustees, which is chaired by ITN CEO John Hardie.
RTS CEO Theresa Wise, said: "These appointments are part of the Royal Television Society’s strategy for continued growth.
"The strength of our board is vital in ensuring we make the most effective use of our resources and with Jane and Rob’s extensive experience and industry knowledge they will make fantastic additions."
In addition, the RTS has announced a number of new Fellows. Fellowships are awarded to those recognised as having made an outstanding contribution to the industry. The new fellows of the Society include nature documentary producer and founder of Silverback Films, Alastair Fothergill; Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert; John McVay, CEO of Pact; award-winning writers Kay Mellor and Sally Wainwright; Charlotte Moore, BBC Controller TV Channels and iPlayer; former Director, Entertainment Channels at Sky, Stuart Murphy; and Television Director, John Watts.
In 2015, the RTS announced its new Vice Presidents, which included David Abraham, CEO of Channel 4; writer and broadcaster, Melvyn Bragg, Lord Bragg of Wigton; ITV CEO, Adam Crozier; Tony Hall, Baron Hall of Birkenhead, Director General of the BBC; writer and director, Armando Iannucci; Ian Jones, CEO of S4C; anti-racism campaigner and Labour peer, Doreen Lawrence, Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon, OBE; and Gavin Patterson, CEO of BT Group.
