Marquis Previews Project Parking V4 At BVE

Marquis Broadcast is to demonstrate its archive and retrieve solution, Project Parking at BVE 2015 on booth A32.

Marquis will partner with distributor Digital Garage and will preview the latest functionality in Project Parking Version 4, which is to be officially launched at NAB 2015.

"Parking enables editors to analyse and manage all the projects and media on their edit storage, and it has now been supplied to broadcasters and post houses all over the world," said Ben Miles, business development manager, Marquis Broadcast.

"At BVE, we will be showing Interplay Orphan Crosschecking (IOC) functionality for the first time in the UK, which provides verification of orphan material when working with Avid Interplay, opening the solution up to more customers who rely on Interplay MAM operating in tandem with ISIS workspaces. Project Parking also now includes AMA content support. Park and Restore AMA linked media within a Project, enables AMA linked media to be identified during the archive process and copied into the project archive. During the restoration, the AMA content can be mapped to any mounted workspace.

"In addition, we will also be previewing Project Parking Version 4. This version which will be officially launched at NAB includes new archiving and analysis tools."

Project Parking analyses all Avid projects and media so editors can understand which projects are using up most space and take action to transfer, archive or delete. It can also identify unused or duplicate media, which can be deleted or archived. Users can create project archives based upon bin selection, move projects between tiers of storage or transfer to different locations. After archiving and transferring media off-line, selected projects or bins can be restored and merged with the original media back on-line.
