Griffin Communications Selects Project Parking For SGL Integration
SGL has announced a contract with Griffin Communications, owner of TV stations KOTV News On 6 (Tulsa) and KWTV/News 9 (Oklahoma City).
Griffin has purchased Marquis Broadcast's Project Parking archive and restore solution to be fully integrated with SGL's existing FlashNet archive system.
Project Parking provides an archive and restore process by creating a complete copy of any Avid project and media onto the FlashNet storage device.
"Project Parking is the smarter way to manage shared edit storage," confirms Chris Steele (pictured), Managing Director, Marquis Broadcast. "Marquis' solution offers an intuitive toolset to analyse and manage projects and their media to optimise shared storage utilisation. In combination with FlashNet, archiving and subsequent access to stored media will now be made the most straight-forward task possible for Griffin Communications."
Doug Wynn, SGL's VP Sales Americas adds: "Project Parking for FlashNet gives users the tools to improve the efficient use of edit storage, reduce capital expenditure on additional edit storage and improve reliability and speed of archiving. We're delighted to announce this sale to Griffin Communications and look forward to announcing additional joint Marquis and SGL sales in the coming months."
