Rushes appoints Head of 3D

Jonathan Privett has been appointed Head of 3D at Rushes following a successful period at Cinesite.
Formerly Head of 3D at Cinesite, Privett has a wealth of experience in huge effects features including 'Tomb Raider', 'Mission Impossible', 'Armageddon', 'Event Horizon' and 'Tomorrow Never Dies'.
Privett will oversee Rushes' recently expanded 3D department which has just undergone a major investment. The company, started in 1977 and recently acquired by Liberty Media in 2000, hopes to maintain their reputation for excellence and build upon the experience of their in-house team.
As well as a full-time, core department of senior animators, project leaders and production staff, the expansion can now accommodate freelancers who will be taken on as projects require, to ensure quality of service.
Privett has also been working with other Rushes staff to select the best-of-breed technology including Maya, Renderman, XSI, Mental Ray, Boujou and 3D Equalizer.
There are also an in-department AV capture/editing system for instantaneous approval and a fully-integrated workflow pipeline with the in-house software development team who can tailor tools to accommodate the client's vision.
