MPC’s 3d division takes on new Deputy Creative Head

The Moving Picture Company (MPC) have announced that Lee Danskin (pictured) is to become Deputy Creative Head of 3d after four years at Smoke & Mirrors, where he worked as Head of 3d.
Mr Danskin joins a thriving 3d animation studio at MPC, which recently expanded in order to accommodate the significant work on 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets', coupled with an increasing number of television and broadcast projects.
Previous to Smoke & Mirrors, Lee spent two years at VTR Film Factory and six years at Alias I Wavefront. Recent credits include the Jimi Hendrix inspired Audi Commercial for Director Daniel Kleinman by agency BBH; Zurich Financial Services Air Display Commercial for Director Gérard de Thame by agency Joshua; and Chemical Brothers’ promo 'The Test' directed by Dom & Nic from the Oil Factory.
Mr Danskin will be working with MPC’s Head of 3d, Jim Radford and director of 3d, Dominic Buttimore.
“Our 3d studio is going from strength to strength and our success has been reflected in the recent expansion. Lee will add a new dimension and we’re looking forward to working with him,” said Mr Buttimore. Danskin has said that he is "relishing the thought of fresh challenges" over a wider spectrum of projects that will cover commercials, longform and promos.
Recent credits for MPC’s 3d animation studio include Primal Scream’s promo 'Miss Lucifer' and a Channel 4 two-part series, 'Battle of the Sexes', as well as features such as 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone'.
Current projects include a four part BBC1 series entitled 'Weather' and an animated feature 'Otherworld'.
