Tektronix NAB seminars focus on education

Building on its history of educating customers on technology innovations, Tektronix Inc, a market leader in enabling innovation, brings an education focus to NAB 2002 at booth L8411, South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
Tektronix will provide 15-minute 'how-to' seminars, covering the benefits of multi-layer monitoring and how to use waveform monitors for production and post-production applications such as colour correction that will benefit a variety of video professionals.
Making their US debuts at NAB 2002 are two new MPEG products. The first is Tektronix AD920, a handheld, battery-powered MPEG tester that provides faster installation time by quickly identifying faults and reduces downtime. It is used to help ensure quality and reliability in networks that distribute video, audio, and data in digital formats. The portable unit is ideally suited for broadcast installation, maintenance, and field service.
The Tektronix MTX100 MPEG recorder/player is a valuable tool that is used to lower a manufacturer’s development expense, bring products to market more quickly, and improve efficiency and productivity in engineering, manufacturing, and service groups.
Also featured will be the MTX100 captures and plays out MPEG-2 data streams at the high data rates needed to verify and troubleshoot designs for high-performance consumer and professional video products and systems.
Tektronix will also showcase its enhanced MPEG product line. The following award-winning test, measurement, and monitoring products will be on display: ndustry-standard waveform monitors such as the WFM700 Multi-format, Multi-Standard Waveform Monitor; the AVDC100 Audio-to-Video Delay Corrector; a broad array of video signal generators - including the TG700 and TG2000 platforms; and the RFA300A for fast evaluation of 8VSB DTV transmitters
