Tektronix Awards Gearhouse Broadcast ‘Value Added’ Reseller Contract

Gearhouse Broadcast, the broadcast sales, rental, projects and systems integration company, has announced that it has become a value added reseller for Tektronix.
Gearhouse Broadcast has been selected by Tektronix to sell and support its baseband video test and monitoring products to a client base inside the M25.
“Tektronix is delighted to have selected Gearhouse Broadcast, a company recognised as having a strong understanding of the broadcast market needs, exceptional customer relationships and an excellent reputation in the industry. Working with Gearhouse Broadcast will enhance Tektronix's presence and coverage beyond its existing business in the London area, to ensure that all aspects of the broadcast chain are investing in the highest quality & performance test and monitoring solutions,” said Nicki Fisher, Video Sales Director EMEA, Tektronix.
Gearhouse Broadcast’s key Tektronix product lines will include: the new WFM7100 Series of Multi-format Waveform Monitors, offering the latest technology monitoring capabilities, flexibility and upgradeability, needed in the production, post-production, distribution, and transmission of high-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) digital video content; the WVR7100 rasterizer providing in multi-format environments (composite, SD, and HD video and/or analogue, digital, Dolby Digital (AC-3) and Dolby E audio), a cost effective and easy-to-use monitoring tool that enables the broadcaster to ensure production and broadcast of quality content that adheres to legal broadcast specifications; and the TG700 generator, a multiformat, analog and digital, precision signal generation platform which offers sync pulse generation and test signal generation for a wide array of analogue, serial digital, and digital high definition formats.
“Tektronix is the leading brand in the industry and has an extensive product range which addresses the needs of the market place. For Gearhouse Broadcast’s sales business this is a unique partnership which will allow us to offer another first class product range along with other leading brands including Sony, to our target audience of broadcasters, post production companies, outside broadcasters and corporate clients,” said Eamonn Dowdall, Managing Director, Gearhouse Broadcast.
“There is real value in Gearhouse Broadcast becoming a reseller for Tektronix,” Dowdall continued. “As a company with a strong engineering base, we understand the value of test and measurement equipment and we frequently require a significant amount of Tektronix product for our Project Solutions business.”
Gearhouse Broadcast clients will directly benefit from the company becoming a Tektronix reseller with a dedicated resource within the sales team, demonstration equipment facilities and the provision of back up products.
