Screen Launches Pay-Go 'Lite' Version of WinCAPS Qu4ntum

UK-based subtitling specialist Screen has announced the introduction of a Pay-As-You-Go version of the WinCAPS Qu4ntum subtitling software.

Retaining the same user interface of WinCAPS Qu4ntum, Screen's new entry-level WinCAPS Q-Lite offers the same essential functionality as its parent version, with the omission of just some of its more advanced features and without requiring an upfront licence payment.

"Screen recognised that there are many freelancers who take on subtitling jobs only on an occasional basis making the investment in professional software unfeasible," said John Boulton, Head of Subtitling Preparation Sales at Screen.

"What was also evident was that some subtitling software lacks professional functionality, creating difficulties for client facilities and slowing up the process for subtitlers thereby reducing the value of their hourly rate; hence the creation of Q-Lite. The new product is also ideal for subtitling facilities who want to ramp up their activities on a temporary basis and need more software on flexible licensing terms."

In a first for the company, Screen has announced that WinCAPS Q-Lite is available to download and buy on-line at any time, direct from the company website.
