Framestore CFC score two Emmy nominations
This year’s Emmy Award nominations find Framestore CFC'S work competing in two categories.
The special effects created for ‘The Lost World’, shown in the US in summer 2002, gained a nomination for ‘Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special’. ‘Chased By Dinosaurs’ (the US title given to the two ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’ specials aired in the UK last Christmas), whose digital creatures and effects were created by Framestore CFC, received a nomination for ‘Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming One Hour Or More)’.
Framestore CFC has been a remarkably consistent player at the Emmies. 2003 marks the eighth successive year in which the company has been nominated for Effects Emmys, and each year since 1996 Framestore CFC has brought at least one Emmy home to the UK, winning a total of 10 awards. Previous Emmy winners from the company include: ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’, ‘Walking With Beasts’ and ‘Dinotopia’.
This year’s award ceremony will take place at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on September 13.
