Prehistoric perfection wins Emmy plaudits

With the announcement of the 54th Emmy Award nominations, UK based Framestore CFC once more found itself in the running for these most prestigious of U.S. television awards.
2002 has been hugely important as far as the company's television work was concerned, and both Dinotopia and Walking With Beasts have been recognised in the nominations. Dinotopia is the epic Hallmark Entertainment adventure mini-series for which Framestore CFC created an entire world filled with sentient dinosaurs. Dinotopia has received a total of seven nominations, including 'Outstanding Miniseries' and 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Movie Or A Special'. Walking With Beasts was the much-anticipated follow up to Walking With Dinosaurs - one of the televisual highlights of recent years. Broadcast on the Discovery Channel in the U.S., it received nominations in two categories, 'Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming One Hour or More)', and 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects Miniseries, Movie Or A Special'.Framestore. CFC has received eight Emmys since 1996, for work ranging from fantasies such as 'Gulliver's Travels', 'Merlin' and 'Alice in Wonderland', to ground-breaking documentaries 'Walking With Dinosaurs' and 'The Ballad of Big Al'.The 54th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on September 22nd 2002.
