Quantel reveal IBC 2003 plans

Quantel will be demonstrating the full generationQ range for Digital Intermediate, Editing, Graphics, News/sport and broadcast production at IBC 2003.
Major filmmakers all over the world are choosing iQ, from Peter Jackson to James Cameron and Lucas Digital. iQ is on show not only on the Quantel stand at IBC with a host of new features and facilities – including the new V2 software - but also as part of Quantel’s presentations at the IBC D-Cinema event on 13, 14 and 15 September.
Colour correction is a vital element of the DI process, and Quantel’s QColor is the only in-context colour correction system that is fully integrated with the finishing process, giving new creative control to DoPs and new business efficiencies to post and DI labs. All this comes at a price that guarantees an excellent return on investment.
Also benefiting from the new V2 software is the generationQ Graphics product range – QPaintbox Pro for close-to-air production, gQ for high-end design and the QPaintbox desktop software for work-sharing and background design tasks. In-context plug-ins are sure to be a particular favourite in the close-to-air graphics production environment, allowing one-off visual effects to be quickly composed and put to air.
Also new at IBC is total integration between generationQ graphics systems and the sQServer that sits at the heart of Quantel’s integrated news/sport production systems. Now every aspect of production from ingest and editing to graphics and playout can be handled within a unified server-based environment, resulting in massive workflow and efficiency gains and further reduced time-to-air.
