IABM enable Ravensbourne students to attend IBC
The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) have announced that, with the support of the association, students from Ravensbourne College, UK will be able to attend the IBC conference that will be held during September 2003 in Amsterdam.
This complements an earlier announcement by the IABM that students from the St Petersburg University of Film & Television in Russia will similarly be the beneficiaries of support from the IABM in the form of complimentary, full, IBC 2003 conference registrations and associated travel costs.
The winning students from Ravensbourne - Dale Powell and Julian Shutt - are currently completing their first year on the Technology Pathway of the Foundation Degree in Broadcasting and Digital Technology at Ravensbourne.
"The selection of these students was based upon excellent motivation, very good academic work and a strong application," commented Martin Salter, chairman, IABM. "Both are heavily involved in systems work for the Ravensbourne On Air project, and are also doing work placements at LNN and LWT. We are delighted to be able to offer them this additional opportunity."
