Playboy TV go digital with On-Air Systems

Playboy TV have chosen On-Air Systems’ On-Air Central open platform PC-based broadcast automation system for a new Playboy television channel, to begin broadcasting in July 2003.
The new system will be installed mid-June ready for the launch of the new service.
Playboy TV’s new broadcast automation solution will comprise various On-Air Central modules, including: On-Air Studio for automatic playout; On-Air TxCG for the creation of graphics and overlays; On-Air Capture; On-Air Scheduler; On-Air Logger and On-Air Scanner.
The modules will be integrated to form a complete end-to-end broadcast automation system covering every stage of the broadcast process from ingest and scheduling to transmission and programme logging.
“We’re excited about having On-Air Central in and running,” said John Lally, head of technical services, Playboy TV. “Because On-Air Central is a flexible system it will fit perfectly with our workflow requirements and enable us to streamline and therefore improve the quality of our day to day broadcasting operations. Having looked at numerous systems, we identified ON-AIR Central as easily the best solution.”
