New CADline Accreditation Speeds Design-To-Fabrication Cycle For Building Services

Leading Autodesk premier solutions provider, CADline, has been accredited to supply and support Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP - a new fabrication design package created specifically for AutoCAD MEP - by Massachussets-based software firm, East Coast CAD.
AutoCAD MEP is a discipline-specific version of AutoCAD software for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) designers. It helps increase accuracy and efficiency in the design of construction documents and facilitates collaboration throughout the industry.
The standard DWG file format makes it easy to share and communicate designs with architects, structural engineers, contractors and other design professionals.
The arrival of Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP will save costs and drive collaboration further, as Amar Sekhon of CADline explained: "In the past, AutoCAD MEP's functionality didn't really extend beyond the design stage; the contractors' work was created separately. Now, with Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP, the original design information data can be taken right through to construction saving time and money. It's like automatically handing the relay batten onto the next runner.
"The new software sits within AutoCAD MEP so once installed it is always in the background and users don't have to learn any new systems. As the design builds, all detailed information regarding piping, ducts and other supported components is built up to provide full details for each component when the files are passed onto the contractors for fabrication."
This latest accreditation underlines CADline's commitment as Northern Europe's premier provider of AEC design solutions, training and support.
Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP is available only through selected Autodesk Accredited Resellers.
