BBC gains Investors in People status

The BBC have been awarded status as Investors in People.
This is the nationally-recognised quality standard for organisations which value their people, commit to developing them in a structured way and are serious about how everyone communicates with each other.
The BBC is one of the largest and most complex organisations to achieve Investors In People and joins companies like BP, the Financial Times, London Underground and Unilever in doing so.
Stephen Dando, the BBC's Director of Human Resources and Internal Communications, said: "We are delighted to receive this significant award for the whole BBC. Gaining it is a real achievement. Each division has had to demonstrate separately it was good enough to get the award.
"Great people make great programmes and services and this gives us a real base to build from as we pursue our goal of being truly outstanding in our approach to developing people."
