Imago achieve ‘Investors In People’ accreditation

Leading UK-based specialist video communications distributor Imago have achieved Investors In People, the national Standard which recognises a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve business goals.
This makes Imago one of very few distributors to have achieved both Investors in People and ISO9002.
The Investors in People Standard provides a national framework for improving business performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet these objectives. Imago prides itself on the efficiency of its recruitment procedures and on delivering a structured induction training programme.
Ian Vickerage, Managing Director, Imago, said: “Working towards achieving Investors in People has helped us to focus on the investment that we make in our employees. We maximise on their particular skills, and constantly evaluate the effectiveness of our training. We can now show that a sales person who might normally take a year to become productive, will reach this point in only three months. The result is more profitability and less costs incurred in re-recruiting staff. The IIP process has been very good for Imago in many ways.”
