New products from root6 Technology

The new product development arm of root6 – root6 Technology – introduced Content Agent and showed two new versions of BeamBox at The Production Show.
BeamBox v1.6 adds titling features to this popular set-top playout device, used in conjunction with BEAM.TV.
BeamBox is to be used at the Cannes Lions Awards Festival in June - featuring 720p high definition playback. Using the BeamReels feature, entries for the Awards will be assembled into specific categories for judging. Additionally, BeamBoxes will be set up in viewing theatres at Cannes with large-screen DLP projection.
Significantly, as all Cannes Lions entries must be made via BEAM.TV, submission by tape is now completely eliminated.
Making a debut appearance at The Production Show, Content Agent is a new digital video capture device that enables material to be captured from tape, encoded and output as DVD or SDI video.
BeamBox Pro – also seen for the first time at the show, complements the existing BeamBox with the added provision of capture,encoding and upload capabilities when used in conjunction with BEAM.TV
