BeamBox to feature at IBC D-Cinema conference
root6 technology and BEAM.TV, in association with Microsoft, will demonstrate a real-world solution to the swift, secure and flexible world-wide distribution and playout of commercials for any current or future D-Cinema implementation at IBC.
HD commercials, encoded in MPEG-2 or Windows Media 9 formats, will be downloaded to the root6 BeamBox (utilising the industry standard BEAM.TV distribution network) rearranged into the required running order and projected in stunning quality from the BeamBox.
These highly cost-effective and industry proven distribution and projection technologies have already been selected and successfully used to replace the traditional submission and theatrical projection of entries to a variety of leading international advertising festivals in the last twelve months, including the D&AD, Cannes Lions and Kinsale Shark Awards.
