Screen Systems Renew OnScreen Deal

Screen Systems has handed new development and sales of the connected TV publishing solution ScreenConnect back to OnScreen Publishing.
The move follows a partnership with ScreenConnect's creator and owner of On Screen Publishing Gordon Maynard, following the acquisition of SysMedia two years ago.
Gary Glover, Screen's Sales and Marketing Director, said: "ScreenConnect has come on a long way since we were first licenced to sell the product, as indeed has the entire connected TV market."
Gordon Maynard added: "In its infancy ScreenConnect offered a dedicated yet powerful solution to smart TV app publishing, but as it has developed with the market, it's now about much more than that."
ScreenConnect, soon to be renamed OnScreen Publisher, now offers a multiscreen publishing platform. The system also enables the development of second screen applications, supporting synchronisation with the broadcast channel.
The product supports close integration between content on the applications and social media such as Twitter. Twitter feeds can be added to pages and tagged content can be linked to searches, allowing stories to be combined with the Twitter conversation in real-time.
Glover commented: "We felt that ScreenConnect needed a specialist space within which to develop and that it would have a more successful future if it was allowed to grow within its own identity."
OnScreen Publisher will be at IBC 2013 on the On Screen Publishing stand at 5.B15a.
