Vyoo Launches New Cost Effective Online Video Publishing And Management Tool

Vyoo is a brand new on-line video publishing and management application that enables enterprises to create, manage and monetise high quality video in web sites without the need for specialist web developer resources.
Since the company's launch in September, it has sold 20 licences to clients such as TRSG, PWC, Haymarket, HSBC, WHO, Reed Publishing, Informa Business Information and Hollis Publishing.
One of the first clients to collaborate in the development of the product was publishing giant Informa's flagship maritime publication - the 275-year old Lloyd's List.
Vyoo and Informa teamed up to launch a new web video player for Lloyd's List - including live video feeds from major shipping and insurance exhibitions around the world.
Mark Warner, Head of Digital News and Advertising for Informa Maritime & Professional, said: "The Holy Grail of video from a publisher perspective is embedding within articles - it can improve click-through by over 100% - so to find an off-the-shelf solution such as Vyoo available at highly competitive rates was a perfect fit with our requirements.
"The Vyoo team provide a customer service experience that is unrivalled with no task too small which means that adding video from Athens, Singapore or Hamburg becomes such a simple exercise."
John Thwaites, CEO of Vyoo explained the company's mission: "Ever since I started Jordan UK, the digital media agency, 15 years ago, I knew that some day all content would be on-line and we would be helping our clients publish video online. Now that broadband is ubiquitous, Vyoo makes it easy to publish video online and a VERY attractive price point for publishers - we are essentially the UK owned cost-effective alternative to Brightcove."
Vyoo has created a three-tiered offering starting with the entry level vyoo publisher which allows easy upload, organisation and streaming of video on websites. vyoo exchange is a private web tv channel for video content collaboration with sign-off video capacity for multiple users and clients online. Then finally vyoo enterprise is an end-to-end solution from first cut, collaboration, approval and management of on-line video playback.
In a first for this type of automated video provisioning application, Vyoo provides realtime video viewers metrics as well as pre-roll advertising management.
Monthly licences range in price from £50 to a maximum of £300, significantly more cost effective than any other self service video solution available on the market today.
The Vyoo platform has been designed and built with tightly managed overheads to be able to pass cost savings on to the client by a proprietary synthesis of PHP, Flash and Mysql and is supported by a T3 streaming server bandwidth partner with global coverage.
