Finnish Broadcaster install more Pinnacle hardware

Finnish national broadcaster, YLE, are boosting their CG stock with another Deko 2200 from Pinnacle Systems.
The new system has been installed in YLE’s transmission centre, where it will be used for on air channel branding. This brings the number of Dekos in use at YLE to more than 40 units.
Timo Salonen, Development Manager, Television, YLE, said: “We’ve been using Dekos for a long time at YLE and we’ve always been very pleased with them, so it is natural that we should buy another one when the need arose.
“The system is appropriate for this work because our graphics artists find it easy to use and it is reliable for broadcast use.
“In fact, the station is a big user of all Pinnacle Systems equipment as we have a selection of TARGA 3000, Commotion Pro, Lightning, DVEXtreme, Liquid Silver, Liquid Purple and Liquid Blue as well as the Dekos which can all be networked together. Pinnacle Systems have an excellent upgrade path making it easy to expand the system as our needs grow, and the equipment is future-proof so we can continue to invest in Pinnacle Systems with no fear of obsolesce.”
The system was supplied by Pinnacle Partner in Finland, Qualitron who also handled the installation and commissioning test of the system.
