British Waterways publish brochure of film locations

At the Production Show 2002, which runs from May 21-23, British Waterways will launch its inaugural brochure and website dedicated to filming, providing production companies with a comprehensive list of its variety of locations for the first time ever.
The brochure - 'On The Waterfront' - gives a taste of the diverse range of locations across the British Waterways' 2,000-mile national network, and demonstrates the atmosphere that can be achieved with waterside setting, from gritty urban scenes to rural idylls. The brochure illustrates the wealth of options available on our canals, rivers, lochs, docks or lakes.
Sally Ash, Marketing Manager for British Waterways, said: "British Waterways can offer a unique national service so that, when looking for a waterside locations, production companies will think of us first."
Many famous productions have already benefited from the UK waterway network's settings including the James Bond film 'The World Is Not Enough', 'The Bill' and 'Hollyoaks'. The British Waterways brochure and website will make it even easier for companies to discover the advantage of waterside locations.
