Around the world on Custom Consoles M-Desk

Hyperactive Broadcast Ltd, one of Europe's leading broadcast hire companies, have purchased three Custom Consoles M-Desk workstations for use on a new film production of Jules Verne's classic 'Around the World in 80 Days'.
The three M-Desks have been supplied to a Berlin-based studio equipped specifically to work on the film. Each desk houses an Avid edit suite with two SVGA monitors, a Sony PVM20 video monitor, Mackie 1604 audio mixer and Genelec loudspeakers.
Hyperactive managing director David Reeves said: "We chose the M-Desk for its exceptional versatility. The main desk surface and rear monitor shelves can be independently adjusted in height to suite different combinations of equipment and specific user preference. Operators can re-adjust surface heights quickly and easily if they wish to vary their working posture in the course of a long editing session."
Introduced earlier this year, the Custom Consoles M-Desk is available in 1200, 1300 and 1600 mm widths All three versions have a 900 mm depth and are supplied complete with cable management and keyboard storage. Each desk is available with rigid feet or lockable castors. Additional modules in the M-Desk series can be integrated to form extended furniture systems:
The M-Desk work-surface can be adjusted in height simply by rotating a removable handle at one end of the desktop. VDU height can be varied just as easily. This combination, meeting BS EN ISO 9241, also protects the employer against potential legal action on the grounds of repetitive strain injury.
M-Desk has received a full evaluation by FIRA's Ergonomics Unit.
