BBC ALBA To Broadcast The RaboDirect PR012

The RaboDirect PRO12 clash between Glasgow Warriors and Zebre continues BBC ALBA's live rugby action this weekend.
Coverage of the match from Scotstoun Stadium will start this Friday at 7.30pm, with the match itself beginning at 7.35pm. Presenter Calum Macaulay will be joined for match analysis by injured Scotland and Glasgow scrum-half Chris Cusiter. Commentary comes from Hugh Dan MacLennan.
Friday's fixture will see Glasgow attempt to win their third PRO12 match in a row, after successive wins over Ospreys and last weekend's 27-17 triumph over Connacht helped Gregor Townsend’s side climb to seventh in the standings.
Italian team Zebre will stand in Warriors way, with the encounter the first ever meeting of the sides after the Parma-based team joined the PRO12 for the start of the 2012/2013 campaign.
Glasgow have won their last three meetings against Italian opposition but the visitors will be determined to record a better result on their second trip to Scotland after going down 41-10 to Edinburgh at Murrayfield in round three.
As well as Friday's live action, we’ll have an extended half-time interview with Glasgow and Scotland number 10 Ruaraidh Jackson. We’ll also have a package focusing on the women’s team at the Stewartry Rugby Club in Castle Douglas. They are working with the SRU to develop the women’s game in Scotland and we will speak to players, the coach and various club officials about the programme and their ambitions.
BBC ALBA has signed an exclusive deal to show live RaboDirect PRO12 rugby in Scotland until the 2013/14 season. The channel is committed to showing at least eight Edinburgh or Glasgow home matches per season, and has teamed up with Irish, Welsh and Italian broadcasters to also provide live coverage of selected away matches for both sides.
