th2ng Signs Up Graham Sherrington

th2ng has recruited Emmy and BAFTA award-winning director Graham Sherrington to become its commercials lead on food and drinks brands.
Graham has developed a well-known reputation for making food, as well as chefs, look fabulous. He has directed spots for FMCG brands such as Alpen and Waitrose, for whom he directed the highly-successful TV campaign for Waitrose featuring Delia Smith and Heston Blumenthal. He is also an award-winning lifestyle and factual entertainment programme maker whose credits include directing Top Gear, The Apprentice, Grand Designs, Gordon Ramsey’s F Word and Nigel Slater’s Simple Suppers.
Hannah Cooper, head of th2ng, said: "We are delighted that Graham has signed to th2ng. He has such a strong and compelling signature style especially in food and performance-led food work with the country’s top chefs that I am sure will have our clients in food and drink queuing up to work with him."
Graham Sherrington said: "I had a number of production companies looking to work with me, but I signed to th2ng because they have a superior contact book in Europe, the Middle East and the States, and they really see the potential in a specialist director in food and drink."
Starting from the dream job of devising and directing the centre piece stunts for Top Gear, Graham helped turn the show into one of the world’s most successful television formats ever, with sales to over 170 countries and over 360 million viewers.
Gordon Ramsay’s The F Word marked a key change in Graham’s career and earned him a reputation for making food look irresistible. Next up, Graham was to turn Nigel Slater from an acquired taste into a mainstream BBC One face. Graham’s format and contemporary visual package made Nigel Slater’s Simple Suppers a runaway success attracting an unprecedented audience of 4.5million viewers. The series won the Guild Of Food Writers TV Programme of the Year 2010 and is now in its fourth season having spawned three Christmas specials.
On the back of this achievement, Graham was hand-picked by the US production company Pacific Productions to bring his directing magic to the new Food Network series, The Pioneer Woman, featuring food blogger Ree Drummond making her TV debut. The series has just been picked up for its third season and has made Drummond a global star.
As a result of his work on these highly successful cookery shows, Graham directed the multi-million TV campaign for Waitrose featuring Delia Smith and Heston Blumenthal. Bringing his trademark energy and fresh modern visuals to the campaign, he directed TV spots ranging from weekly recipes to Christmas promotions across locations in the UK, Iceland and South Africa. The campaign is widely credited with delivering a bumper Christmas sales to the supermarket.
