Digital Vision’s pre-mastering workstations sold to HBO

Digital Vision have announced the sale of two BitPack-SD pre-mastering workstations to HBO in New York.
HBO, a division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, provide 28 digital feeds of its two 24-hour premium TV services of HBO and Cinemax to subscribers across the US.
“HBO have purchased BitPack-SD Encoders because of its superior quality, ability to be automated and its single-pass capability of allowing AC-3 multiplexing in real-time,” said, Dominic Serio, Senior Vice President HBO Studios and Broadcasting Operations.

The market-leading BitPack product range is a complete pre-mastering solution for standard and/or high definition, video on demand, DVD, digital cinema and digital archiving. It uses Digital Vision’s industry-standard DVNR pre-processor tools and proprietary encoding engine, to produce MPEG-2 elementary, program, and transport streams.
