John Carter To Cost Disney £126m

The latest Walt Disney movie, John Carter, is set to become one of the biggest flops in cinema history with reports that the studio is set to lose around $200m (£126m) as a result of the film.
The film, it is believed, could result in an $80-120m loss for Disney's movie business during the current quarter.
Meanwhile it is estimated that John Carter cost $250m to make and it is likely that Disney spent another $100m on marketing raising Disney's loss.
The film, about a military captain transported to Mars, has been described as "incomprehensible" and "ludicrous" and this is despite the film being directed by Andrew Stanton, the CGI genius behind Oscar-winning movies Finding Nemo and Wall-E.
Disney admits it expects to lose $200m (£126m) on the science fiction film.
Meanwhile last year's biggest box office flop was also attributed to Disney. According to the Hollywood Reporter, last year's biggest box office flop was,Mars Needs Moms, which cost $150m to make and only took $39m at the box office.
Nonetheless Disney is still likely to make a substantial quarterly profit, though, thanks to its TV businesses and will be hoping for success from other big budget movies due for release later this year.
