Deadline For Focal International Awards , Extended

The deadline for an international award which celebrates and recognises researchers, technicians, producers and the best use of archive footage material in a variety of genres, has been extended.
Focal International, the international Federation of Commercial Audio-visual Libraries, has extended the submissions deadline for the ninth annual FOCAL International Awards, held in association with AP Archive. The deadline for entries is now 12 December 2011.
Julie Lewis, General Manager, Focal International, said: "We have already received an unprecedented number of entries for the 2012 awards, but want to ensure everyone has time to prepare their entries. The awards are a key event in the calendar that enable the people involved in the use and care of footage to showcase their talents in front of a global audience."
The Awards celebrate the best use of archive footage material in a variety of genres, and also recognises the researchers, technicians and producers that access, maintain and use this precious resource. The award ceremony will be held on 2 May 2012 at the Lancaster London Hotel in London.
