Final call for FOCAL International Awards nominations

Final calls are being made for submissions to the FOCAL International Awards to celebrate the use of footage archive images in the creative media.
With 16 Award categories designed to attract a broad spectrum of stock shot and archive footage users, plus allied facilities, there is plenty of scope to enter the competition.
“Following the success of the first FOCAL Awards held in 2004 we are delighted to be inviting the footage community once again to honour its own – the professional researchers who access the material, the technicians who care for its physical maintenance and the producers who use it in such a variety of exciting, moving and stimulating ways. We sincerely hope that acknowledging and rewarding excellence in the footage industry at the FOCAL International Awards 2005 will draw even more attention to this vital element of the creative processes at work in audio visual production,” said Jane Mercer, FOCAL International Chair.
Lord Puttnam CBE will present the Awards on May 9, 2005 at BAFTA, London.
