Yellow Bird Producer To Deliver PFM Keynote

Marianne Gray¸ producer of one of Europe’s most successful and innovative production companies, will be delivering the keynote address at the Film London Production Finance Market (PFM) bringing a fresh European perspective.
Behind the feature adaptations of Stieg Larsson's critically acclaimed Millennium trilogy, released in over 50 countries and the highest grossing series of foreign language films ever made, Yellow Bird is one of Scandinavia’s most prolific production companies and focuses primarily on international co-productions.
Gray, who started her career in LA at studios including Disney, Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox, most recently produced Norwegian feature Headhunters, which will enjoy its UK premiere next week at the BFI London Film Festival. One of the most successful Norwegian features ever made, Headhunters has already sold to over 40 countries and Gray will now be producing the recently announced US remake with Summit Entertainment.
Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said: “With each year, the PFM attracts producers and financiers from new territories as we aim to continue to forge new international co-productions and cross-territory relationships. Therefore I am delighted to be welcoming Marianne Gray to the PFM this year. In part, the PFM is about challenging existing preconceptions around how to finance films and it invites producers and financiers to explore alternative routes and new avenues. Marianne, and indeed Yellow Bird, embodies that spirit of innovation. Their successful international financing partnerships, their co-productions and their achievements on a global scale should prove an inspiration to the PFM’s international delegates.”
This year the PFM has attracted over 60 producers presenting projects with almost €245m of production value.
Delegates will participate in approximately 1,100 face-to-face meetings as well as a variety of seminars and networking events.
The PFM will take place on 19-20 October in association with the BFI London Film Festival.
