Sky Living has announced that US drama Conviction is to air on the channel from next month.

The legal thriller stars Hayley Atwell as Hayes Morrison, the daughter of a former President, who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of New York's newly-created Conviction Integrity Unit. Alongside a team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts, Hayes examines cases where there is credible suspicion that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime.

Co-created by writer Liz Friedman and director Liz Friedlander, Conviction also stars Eddie Cahill (CSI: NY), Shawn Ashmore (X Men), Merrin Dungey (Alias), Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead), Manny Montana (Graceland) and Daniel Franzese.

Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky Living, said: "As the home of the best-loved US network dramas, Conviction is a perfect fit for Sky Living. With strong characters, engrossing storylines and suspense-filled moments, the show is sure to make it to the top of our customers' 'must watch' list."

The Executive Producers of Conviction are Mark Gordon, Liz Friedman, Liz Friedlander and Nicholas Pepper. eOne is handling international rights for the series.
