GTC To Track Aerial Camera Systems

The Guild of Televison Camermen (GTC) is 'Keeping Ahead of the Game' with a New Year workshop planned on innovative aerial camera work such as SMARTheads, rail and vehicle-mounted Cineflex and Gyron stabilised heads, and vertical tracking kit.
It takes place on 11 January 2011 at ACS, Godalming, Surrey with GTC sponsors Aerial Camera Systems hosting an informative day for GTC members interested in their products.
A GTC statement said: "Numbers will be limited but it is hoped to provide the Guild's first webcast from a workshop for the benefit of members at large - so, look out nearer the time for notification on the GTC Forum and this website."
This workshop is only open to GTC members with a practical knowledge of outside broadcast and studio work and attendees will be selected by ACS themselves.
To apply for a place on this specialist workshop (early application is highly recommended) members should contact Antonia Wood at ACS on: [email protected], giving details of experience plus GTC membership number.
The day will include an introduction to ACS and its variety of specialist camera systems followed by an overview of the SMARThead - ACS's remote head (as used on the Papal Visit, Wimbledon and The Proms).
After lunch, there's an introduction to stabilised mounts featuring the HD Cineflex V14 and HD Gyron Plus looking at applications and performance, overcoming operating challenges, HD Cineflex practical demonstration and an ACS tracking vehicle with HD Gyron stabilised mount practical demonstration.
